General Catalyst led a $14.5 million (about Rs 115 crore) Series A round of funding for US-based health tech firm CertifyOS.

Upfront Ventures, Max Ventures, and Arkitekt Ventures—previous backers—took part in the round as well.

With hundreds of validated data points and hundreds of API connectors, CertifyOS is the only platform of its type for provider intelligence. With hassle-free licensing and registration, one-click credentialing, and real-time network monitoring at the customers’ fingertips, it empowers performance for clinicians, teams, and organizations.

They are supported by top-tier VC firms who share their aim of becoming the new standard and source for provider intelligence in healthcare. The team has more than 25 years of total experience developing provider data systems at businesses like Oscar Health.

They are working to make provider intelligence powerful for the US healthcare sector. By expediting provider data access and easing administrative and regulatory burdens on healthcare organizations, the cost of healthcare is intended to be reduced.

CertifyOS offers payors, providers, health systems, and digital health firms in the US API-first credentialing, licensing, enrolment, and network monitoring services. It was started by Anshul Rathi and is based in India.

The start-up intends to use the additional funding to expand its commercial, product, and engineering teams, improve its current insurance credentialing platform and increase the range of products it offers by adding hospital credentialing, privileging, network accuracy, adequacy, and directory management.

Rathi, who serves as the company’s chief executive, said in a statement that the funding “reinforces market belief around the significance of merging provider data silos to make information accessible, visible, and actionable.”

Anshul Rathi was recently quoted saying that, the Series A funding would “enable the company to construct the mid-level infrastructure that connects all of the diverse data sources now hosting main provider data, reducing the barriers and friction to growing networks that exist in healthcare today.”
